If Vero Beach had a face, it would have a pretty big smile on it right now. That’s because Vero Beach has once again been named to a Top 10 List, the third time this year alone.
Recently we told you about Vero Beach being named to USA Today’s list of best Florida beaches, citing Vero Beach as a “nature lover’s paradise”. Prior to that Vero Beach was named as one of the best places to live in Florida by DestinationSeeker.com. And, in September of 2013, Vero Beach also made the USA Today list of best least known Florida beaches.
Now, FamilyVacationCritic.com, an on line source for family vacation news, deals and critiques, has named Vero Beach as one of the 10 Best Beaches for Families in 2014. The article states “Vero Beach, Fla. offers several beaches and parks, all of which are great for families, though our favorite isHumiston Park, since it offers a recently revamped playground, along with restrooms and showers. This stretch of sand, which is free to access, is also a nice place to enjoy a picnic lunch, with tables and grills readily available.” The article goes on to name several local businesses. “Nino’s offers delicious pizza right by the beach, as well; after you grab a slice, head to Kilwin’s on Ocean Drive for chocolates and ice cream, followed by an evening stroll. Plenty of free parking is available, but oceanfront hotels, such as Holiday Inn Oceanside and Driftwood Resort, are a short and easy walk from the sand. Insider Tip for Families: Humiston Park hosts a Sunset Saturday Night Concert Series, with free entertainment every Saturday night. Local artists often display and sell their work on weekends, too.”
We agree, Humiston Park, completed by the City and Ocean Park developers Flamevine Partners, is a great place to spend the day with your family and the beach is perfect for that early morning stroll or an afternoon swim.Of course, we’ve always believed Vero Beach is the best place to live, vacation and retire to and we love that Vero Beach is getting so much positive national attention. It’s certainly well deserved. That smile on Vero Beach’s face we mentioned….it just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
